A Serene Coffee Stop at Kalmado Cafe – Boracay

On our last day in Boracay, just before catching the boat to the airport, we made a spontaneous stop at Kalmado Cafe. Honestly, it wasn’t in the plan at all—it was raining, and we had already done our little cafe-hopping tour, visiting Calma Cafe and Black Attic earlier in the trip.

But wow—Kalmado Cafe just hits differently. There’s this peaceful, calming vibe that makes you want to stay, sip your coffee slowly, and maybe even open your laptop to get some work done. Unlike the other two cafes, Kalmado has air-conditioning (a blessing on a humid Boracay day!), though it’s definitely smaller in size.

If you’re after spacious, Instagrammable spots, Calma Cafe and Black Attic are still the clear winners. But if you’re looking for a quiet, cozy corner to relax or be productive, Kalmado Cafe is the place to be.

As for the food and drinks: the coffee isn’t the best you’ll ever have, but it’s good enough and worth the price. The food is just average, but still worth trying for the overall experience.

We loved the vibe so much that we’re already planning to stay at Canvass Inn on our next trip—apparently, it’s owned by the same people behind Kalmado. If the inn has the same relaxing atmosphere as the cafe, I can’t wait!
